- A red-footed falcon flew towards the Hrossey Northlink Ferry from the direction of Fair Isle. It landed on the top deck above one of the lifeboats. It flew around a couple of times appearing to catch insects and returned to the same area of the boat. It may have departed the boat when Hrossey passed Stronsay
