Squirt Champs

The Magic Roundabout section of the HP whitewater course saw the British Squirt Champs take place on Saturday. Turnout was on the low side, and there were some big names missing (Current World Champ Ben White was busy turning 30 down in the West Country) but there were some nice runs to be seen. In the Ladies Claire O' Hara retained her title and paddled steadily in to first place. The big tussle in the Men's was between James Reeves and Pete Cornes. Pete's just returned from a squirt safari to West Virginia and had the edge on the mystery front, hitting a deep, long Mush Move on his last run. But James kept it mixing up on his eddy-line moves, scoring Tricky whus and hero to zeros, plus he had his fair share of mystery action too.
