Bird photography for beginners
18 April 2012
Bird photography is the most challenging and yet potentially the most rewarding of all forms of photography. We invite you to join an experienced bird photographer who knows the reserve well for a morning session, during which we aim to learn about and practice some of the essential skills of bird photography. We hope to cover the following areas: 1. Recommended equipment including camera, lens, tripod etc. 2. How to achieve well composed, well lit, sharp images of birds with good 'bokeh'. 3. How to 'capture the moment' by studying and understanding the behaviour of Blacktoft's star birds such as Avocets and Marsh Harriers. 4. Useful web sites offering tips and advice and the 'Nature photographers' code of practice'. Please book in advance. Places limited. Event time: 10am until 12 noon. Event charge £7.50 per person.
